long car rides = good talks about life and stuff
always feel like the best conversations are made in long car rides.

it really sucks when your parents aren’t understanding of your faith.

sitting on the couch at the church office listening to Summer is Over by Jon McLaughlin, with Sam Hong passed out on the floor from morning prayer. Kinda feel bad that I took over the couch and he’s on the floor.. probably really cold… :( :T
you know what’s dedication? even more-so than waking up at 5 in the morning just to drive an hour to morning prayer? sleeping at the church office the night before JUST so that you could go to morning prayer. it really humbles me and encourages me to see people like Sam so on fire for God. the fact that he spent the night here at the office, probably in the cold, all alone with just his bible and phone really showed me how we all should be living radically every day. we don’t have to go on missions to show the world that we love God. do something like this- wake up early and commit to spend time with the Lord… if you don’t have a ride to morning prayer, heck, just sleep over at the church office just like Sam.
i’m not trying to put Sam on a pedestal or anything and he definitely has no idea that i’m writing this… but it just really amazed me today and i just couldn’t go throughout today without writing this down.
